Nong Porn Fermented Fish Sauce (น้ำปลาร้า, nam pla ra) is a traditional Thai condiment made from fermented freshwater fish, distinct from standard fish sauce (น้ำปลา, nam pla) in its deeper, earthier aroma and thicker consistency. Where regular fish sauce is used as a finishing seasoning, nam pla ra is a foundational ingredient in Isan and Central Thai cooking — essential in som tum (green papaya salad), laab, and nam prik dipping sauces. This 300ml bottle is suited to everyday home cooking and recipe testing.
