LOBO Larb Seasoning Mix (เครื่องปรุงลาบ โลโบ, khrueang prung laap loo-boo) is a pre-blended seasoning mix from LOBO for making larb (ลาบ, laap) — one of the most iconic dishes of E-San (Isan) and northern Thai cuisine, and the national dish of Laos. Larb is a minced meat salad seasoned with fish sauce, lime juice, chilli, shallots, and — most distinctively — toasted rice powder (khao khua, ข้าวคั่ว), which gives the dish its characteristic nutty, aromatic texture. The LOBO seasoning mix provides the pre-blended dry spice and toasted rice powder component, eliminating the need to toast and grind rice and measure individual spices. The cook adds the fresh ingredients (minced meat, fish sauce, lime juice, shallots, chilli, and herbs) to complete the dish.
